Electronics design services, from review to ready

Some clients need a full journey from concept to tested prototype. Others need a second pair of eyes on an existing PCB design or help fixing an RF problem. mdype meets you where you are and takes the project part of the way or all the way.

RF design

Radio circuits that actually radiate. Antenna matching, impedance-controlled layout and sub-GHz radio design, proven on an 868 MHz LoRa node built around the STM32WL55. Includes EMC-aware design and RF minimization to keep your board quiet and compliant.

PCB design

Schematic capture and PCB layout in KiCad or Altium Designer, your choice. Boards are designed against the real constraints of your manufacturer, with production files customized for JLCPCB, PCBWay, Aivon and other vendors. From quick two-layer boards to controlled-impedance stackups.

Electronics design

Complete circuit design: power supplies, battery management, sensor interfaces and protection circuits. Component selection balances performance, cost and availability so your design survives both the field and the supply chain.

Firmware development

Embedded firmware for STM32 and ESP32 platforms, from register-level bring-up to application logic. Low-power design, sensor drivers and wireless stacks including LoRa.

Harsh environment hardening

Electronics built for the worst day, not the average one. Component selection, power budgeting and design choices verified by climate chamber testing down to minus 40 degrees Celsius. Experience from Arctic-grade hardware targeting Greenland deployment.

Testing and review

Design reviews of your existing schematics and layouts, prototype bring-up and EMC pre-compliance testing in an EMC chamber. Pre-compliance testing finds problems early and cheaply. It does not replace certified CE testing, and mdype is upfront about that.

What mdype does not do

Honesty saves both of us time

mdype does not do volume production or casting. PCB designs are made production-ready for standard or volume manufacturing, and CAD work covers prototyping, but final production tooling and manufacturing runs belong with your manufacturer. CE pre-testing is offered, certification itself is done by accredited test houses.
