About

One engineer, full attention

mdype is a solo engineering practice. When you work with mdype you talk directly to the person designing your board, writing your firmware and testing your prototype. No handoffs, no account managers, no telephone game.

Background

I am an electrical and hardware engineer with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, continuing with an MSc in Electrical Engineering at DTU from September 2026.

My experience covers IoT hardware, electronics for harsh environments, end to end flow control in industry, and EMC and RF solutions including interference minimization. I work hands-on with CAD, designing PCBs in Altium Designer and KiCad against real manufacturing constraints from vendors like JLCPCB.

I have designed hardware across multiple project groups at DTU and for startup products, including an Arctic-grade LoRa node tested to minus 40 degrees Celsius and racing electronics for the DTU Roadrunners eco-car team.

Where mdype is going

The start of a journey

mdype is at the start of its journey. Today it is one engineer taking ideas to prototypes. The ambition is a bigger and better company, growing one well-built product at a time. Clients who join early get something rare later on: a direct line to the founder.
